Starting Over - Heartbroken

Unfortunately, my little sunflowers were gone when I went out to check on them today. I am not gonna lie, I cried. I'm not sure what happened but there's nothing I can do about it except plant more seeds. When I look outside of my window where they used to be...I feel heartbroken. My poor babies. I miss them. Luckily, my friend came over and cracked some jokes and then we rode our bikes to the 'downtown' of our city for ice cream.

I received this Piranha plant from my bros as a graduation present. It's been consoling me - it will always be in bloom ~

My dad and I had a mini-marathon of Breaking Bad last week in celebration of the start of the final few episodes of the show. I had some time on Sunday, before we went to LAX to drop off my uncle, to draw a quick Hank sketch. Let's hope he doesn't die. Besides that, I have been drawing a lot more than usual, which is always a good thing. Just in a matter of days (since my last post), my succulents have grown considerably. I'm guessing this is due to the high temperatures these past few days. My baby sunflowers are a tiny bit taller too. They grow up so fastttt~

I've been gardening a bit this summer. We have so many rose bushes and flowery plants that make my mom happy...now I'm planting things that make me happy like herbs and succulents. I love succulents. They are like cute little math equations displayed visually...real life fractal patterns. Besides their aesthetic qualities, they are a smart choice for conserving water since they don't require frequent watering.

Besides succulents, I have (secretly) planted sunflowers. The sunflower is my favorite flower. I've haven't told anyone they're there so it will be surprise when they bloom.

what's up?

I'm at home waiting for my friend to get off work so we can go eat Pinkberry. Pinkberry has been the main constant in my summer. The amount of times I have gone there is too embarrassing to mention. And the amount of times I've said, "Yeah, yeah Yogurtland has all those flavors to choose from but Pinkberry just tastes a million times better..." is also reaching a ridiculous level. I always get the same thing: a medium original with raspberries and dark chocolate crisps. The people working there know me now....."Hey, did you get the same exact thing last time?! You were here like...two days ago, right?"... I've changed things up around here. I'm still in the process of fixing some things here and there but that will have to wait for now since my eyes are too tired to continue...and because it's time for me to go get my yogurt fix.
