SITE UPDATE

I can't believe how fast this week is going by. This semester in general just seems to be going by at the speed of light........okay not. But it's almost over! And in around 2 months I'll be heading over to India. I still need to figure out what I have to take with me....but I'll think about that later.

This is what my street looked like today in the morning. It doesn't show up in the photo, but it was very foggy. I enjoyed walking to school today because it was chilly. Walking in the heat with a super heavy backpack is not pleasant.

Yesterday night I stayed late at school. Then my friend picked me up and we ate crepes. I think I am addicted to crepes.

ALSO! I have been thinking a lot about changing this place around, but since school is demanding, I am not able to focus on the site ;_______; BUT!!!!! I did add another page! It's called My Work and it contains some of my artwork! It isn't done yet...but I just wanted do something else during my quick break~ Let me know how you like it~

OKAY TIME FOR BED FINALLY~ Have wonderful rest of the week guys <3

Eventful Weekend with friends

Friday I had studio..like always. I've been working on my project...trying to flesh out the ideas for my proposal. Lot's of hours spent on the computers....I feel like my eyes can't take it anymore ;____;

My friend sitting at my desk working hard~

During studio, I was making a stencil for something that is not school related!

Saturday was spent with my two friends. We were first at their house playing with Ponchik <3  We then decided to go to Santa Monica to eat and walk around.

We went to an Italian restaurant which I can't remember the name of. I feel bad hahahaha. Their pizza was delicious though~

And this is what I had for lunch today. I just came back from a walk with my parents. It felt great. Now I'm going to continue working on studio....gonna stay up till.....1 am...and then time for bed~

Hope everyone's Monday was awesome <3

Henna Results & new phone~

Earlier this year, my poor HTC HD2 fell out of my hands and the screen had a minor crack. Ever since then, the screen slowly started to stop working until three weeks ago when it completely stopped responding! Only the buttons worked so I could pick up calls but I couldn't call back, read/send texts. Today I finally got a new phone and so far I like it a lot~ I got the HTC Amaze which actually came out today. It's a T-mobile phone. It comes in two colors - black and white. I ended up buying the white one~

Last Friday I had my studio midterm. I slept at 4:30 am on Friday...woke up at seven and then went to school for my 9 am class. I was so tired. Before the class, my friend helped me print my panels for studio. After class, we went to Ikea and ate and then....at 1:30 or so, the review began. It lasted till 6. I got home and went straight to bed.

On Saturday I got a chance to henna my hair! I used Lush's Caca Marron which is a darker brown with a warm tone. I used 2/6 henna blocks and cut them into small pieces with a kitchen knife. I poured boiling water over the pieces and stirred until I felt that it was the right consistency. The process of putting the henna in my hair was pretty messy. Next time I'll have someone help me apply it. The smell wasn't as bad as I thought it would be....it was kind of herb-y with a mix of coffee.

I left the henna in my hair from 1: 45 pm to 6 pm and then I took a shower. It was hard to get the henna out of my hair because it was dried to my hair. I just took my time...tried to get everything out~ I use a really mild shampoo that I buy from Whole Foods. When I came out of the shower, I let my hair air dry like always. I honestly couldn't tell if anything had changed. My hair was super easy to comb through...and the smell of the henna was in my hair. In fact, it still is. Now the smell kind of bothers me hahaha but I think it's cause I've grown tired of it. When I look in the mirror....I see a small change...it does have a slighter warm tone. My hair seems a little shinier. But other than that, I don't see any major changes. I wasn't really going for that anyway~ I think if I had chosen the red color they have, then I'd see a bigger change. But overall, I am happy with the results!

Outside without sunlight shining on my hair!

And inside! The warmer brown color shows when light hits my hair~ If you guys have any questions regarding the henna process, my hair, or anything at all, don't hesitate to ask~

OKAY. BACK TO SCHOOL WORK. I hope you are all having a good week <3 Mew mew mew~

Love & Blush & Hearts

I just walked home from school. It's getting darker and colder. I don't mind the cold, but that's when cayotes and mountain lions appear. The other day I was doing hw in my room and I heard noises outside my window. I looked outside (my window was open btw) and there was a cayote staring at me....six feet away! It was awesome and scary at the same time. The rest of his/her? friends were running up and down our street. I get emails from my school, warning us to be careful since there have been lots of sightings of mountain lions. I saw one the week that school started. I get a little nervous walking home when its late, but it has to be done! I made this over the weekend. I have been feeling sad, so I wanted to draw a happy feeling. <3

I went to LUSH yesterday and bought a block of Henna~ I have always wanted to try. I have never permanently dyed my hair...In the beginning of this year, I semi-colored it, but it washed out a while back~ I try to stay away from products with chemicals....all of my moisturizers, facial cleansers, sun block, make up ( I don't really use make up anyway...)...etc etc is free from crap (or almost free from crap)!

I have no idea how my hair is gonna turn out~ I have dark brown hair and I just want to add some warmth to it, so I decided to get the Caca Marron henna~ The guy who helped me pick it out said that it adds a lot of shine to your hair and it will turn soft! Since I just let my hair be when I come out of the shower, it is already soft....so if what he says is true...I'm gonna have super super soft hair!

The Ultrabalm helps to keep the henna off your skin while you are coloring~

The guy who helped me threw in this "Strawberry Feels Forever" massage bar (what a weird  name...). It's a solid moisturizer if I understood him correctly~ It smells really cute~~~~

I don't know when I'll have time to try the henna out. I was aiming for this Thursday, but I have a midterm on Friday for studio and I know I'll be busy crying over my computer. So maybe this weekend...I'm in no rush~

I hope you guys are having a good week so far. Take care of yourselves <3 <3 <3
