Earlier this year, my poor HTC HD2 fell out of my hands and the screen had a minor crack. Ever since then, the screen slowly started to stop working until three weeks ago when it completely stopped responding! Only the buttons worked so I could pick up calls but I couldn't call back, read/send texts. Today I finally got a new phone and so far I like it a lot~ I got the HTC Amaze which actually came out today. It's a T-mobile phone. It comes in two colors - black and white. I ended up buying the white one~
Last Friday I had my studio midterm. I slept at 4:30 am on Friday...woke up at seven and then went to school for my 9 am class. I was so tired. Before the class, my friend helped me print my panels for studio. After class, we went to Ikea and ate and then....at 1:30 or so, the review began. It lasted till 6. I got home and went straight to bed.
On Saturday I got a chance to henna my hair! I used Lush's Caca Marron which is a darker brown with a warm tone. I used 2/6 henna blocks and cut them into small pieces with a kitchen knife. I poured boiling water over the pieces and stirred until I felt that it was the right consistency. The process of putting the henna in my hair was pretty messy. Next time I'll have someone help me apply it. The smell wasn't as bad as I thought it would be....it was kind of herb-y with a mix of coffee.
I left the henna in my hair from 1: 45 pm to 6 pm and then I took a shower. It was hard to get the henna out of my hair because it was dried to my hair. I just took my time...tried to get everything out~ I use a really mild shampoo that I buy from Whole Foods. When I came out of the shower, I let my hair air dry like always. I honestly couldn't tell if anything had changed. My hair was super easy to comb through...and the smell of the henna was in my hair. In fact, it still is. Now the smell kind of bothers me hahaha but I think it's cause I've grown tired of it. When I look in the mirror....I see a small change...it does have a slighter warm tone. My hair seems a little shinier. But other than that, I don't see any major changes. I wasn't really going for that anyway~ I think if I had chosen the red color they have, then I'd see a bigger change. But overall, I am happy with the results!
Outside without sunlight shining on my hair!
And inside! The warmer brown color shows when light hits my hair~
If you guys have any questions regarding the henna process, my hair, or anything at all, don't hesitate to ask~
