   That’s the best kind of complex–complexity that arises from very simple principles.

   For the longest time, I’ve felt like reality is, at its most fundamental, fractal. Everything about the universe–from atoms to galaxy clusters, and even the stuff we conceive of in our head that do not have a physical reality–is just a higher-level fractal expression of some fundamental yet deeply hidden property of reality. It has to be really simple at the bottom.
